- Battlefield 8
- Life 16
- Spellboard 4
Cards 30 / 30
Ready Spells (9)
It's the Preconstructed deck, but without the "P". The idea was to build a new deck that stays within the same color identity and has similar ideals, but is a little more refined or experimental.
For Aradel, I decided to push her a little more towards a control/removal aspect since her kit is very well suited for it. Water Blast has excellent value, Blue Jaguar easily rules the early game and sets great tempo, and damage cards like Out of the Mist and Mist Typhoon provide decent board control and lots of extra draw power for a healthy spellboard.
I replaced Mist Spirits with Shadow Spirits since they work a little better with all your card draw and cost fewer dice overall, though I also replaced Butterfly Monks with Biters since they tend to win trades almost assuredly (besides, you probably weren't attacking with those monks anyways).
The addition of Fade Away and Shadow Counter make it even easier to generate advantage (especially since Shadow Counter can 1-shot everything), and combined with Sleeping Bears will allow you a threatening board presence at not too high a cost. Singleton Figures in the Fog can be a surprisingly effective tool against an opponent's fully loaded Holy Knight (or other similar alteration strat).
Other cards you can run:
Ice Trap - Also very efficient board control. I skipped it because anything Ice Trap can kill, Water Blast can also kill for the same cost.
Shadow Hound - Another way to take advantage of your accelerated draw. Was a little costly IMO, but the strength is there.
